// For Machine Shops & Tool Cribs — Nationwide Mail-In Service
Your dull HSS drills still have 4–6 sharpenings left in them. We regrind them on a WinsloMatic to factory geometry — split point, proper relief, dead-on lip height. You pay a fraction of replacement cost.
// Accepts drills up to 3/4" · HSS only · Nationwide mail-in · No minimums on standard orders
// The Problem
Most facilities toss dull HSS drills and order replacements. That's a choice — just not a cheap one. Here's what that habit actually costs.
A ½" HSS drill costs $8–22 new. Resharpening runs $2.50. If you run 100 drills a month, you're spending $800–2,200 instead of $250. That's $600–2,000 every month left on the table.
A drill that "doesn't cut anymore" usually has 4 to 6 sharpenings left. The geometry is off, not the steel. A proper regrind on a dedicated drill grinder gets you back to factory spec.
Dull drills don't just wear out — they burn more horsepower, generate heat, work-harden the workpiece, and break at the worst possible moment. Properly resharpened drills cut cleaner and last longer between sharpenings.
Most local sharpening shops use old worn wheels and eyeball the geometry. You get inconsistent results and drills that feel sharp but cut terribly. A WinsloMatic-grade regrind is a different product.
// The Process
No setup fees. No contracts required. Just mail your dull drills and we send them back sharp.
Pack your dull HSS drills in any box. Label them however you track them internally. Include a note with your contact info and drill count.
Ship via USPS, UPS, or FedEx to our Oklahoma facility. Standard mail works fine — no special packaging required for most drill sizes.
Each drill is reground on a Giddings & Lewis WinsloMatic to factory geometry: proper split point, correct relief angle, equal lip height.
We ship them back with a job summary. Pro Max members get return shipping covered on orders up to 50 drills.
// The Math
Run the numbers on a mid-size tool crib. Adjust to your actual usage.
// Estimate based on avg. drill replacement costs. Your savings scale with drill size and volume. Letter drills and larger sizes produce higher savings ratios.
// Per-Drill Pricing
Priced per drill. Volume orders (20+) avoid the small-batch surcharge. Members get 15–25% off on top of this.

// Common Questions
What types of drills do you sharpen?
HSS (High Speed Steel) twist drills and letter drills, up to ¾" diameter. We do not currently sharpen carbide drills, step drills, spade bits, or specialty form drills.
How do we ship our drills to you?
Any carrier works — USPS, UPS, FedEx. Pack drills in a sturdy box with some padding. Include a note with your name, email, drill count, and any special instructions. Address is provided after you contact us for your first order.
What's the turnaround time?
Standard orders are processed within 7–10 business days of receipt. Pro Max members receive a 5-business-day guarantee. We'll notify you when your order ships back.
Can we set up a recurring shipment schedule?
Yes — this is the standing order feature available to Pro Max members. We'll work out a cadence that matches your facility's drill consumption cycle. Most facilities find monthly or bi-monthly standing orders eliminate all tooling procurement lag.
How many times can a drill be resharpened?
A typical HSS drill can be resharpened 4 to 6 times before the shank geometry becomes limiting. Larger drills tend to have more reground life. We'll flag any drills that are too far gone to sharpen effectively.
Do you offer purchase orders or net terms?
We're working on formal net-30 terms for larger facilities. Contact us to discuss — we accommodate larger accounts on a case-by-case basis. Currently we process membership subscriptions via card and can invoice for per-order charges.
What makes your resharpening better than a local shop?
We grind on a Giddings & Lewis WinsloMatic — a precision dedicated drill grinder, not a belt sander or bench grinder with a homemade fixture. The result is consistent geometry: correct split point, equal lip height, proper helix relief. Drills ground correctly cut cleaner, last longer, and break less.
